The River Ping flows smoothly but swiftly as it nears Chiang Mai. 32 km north is our starting point , it’s a peaceful large river that drifts towards the city. With only long wide turns this is good beginner territory, great for bird watching and viewing local village life encroaching on the river .This trip is separated into to classifications G and G+, G being friendly to beginners in distance and G+ for long distance kayakers only . Strong kayakers can go all the way into town (32km) (G+)where we can enjoy a well deserved ice coffee on the river side in the center of Chiang Mai. For beginners or those dropping out there are bridges (pickup points) along the way where our driver will retrieve us . For those with special time constrains , the 3 hr City kayak section (still looks like country) is the best bet (please mention in special conditions on the booking sheet what you prefer.)
